We finally got to see Barry for the first time since the temple trip. He has still been reading the Book of Mormon, but we had to set him on another baptismal date. We set it for January 22nd since it's before transfers. Brother Uyema said that his birthday was right around that day and it would be a pretty good birthday present
*winks at Barry*. I'm hopeful though. Barry has really come a long way and he is still believing. He wasn't able to come to church so we're a little nervous, but we have faith that he can stay strong.

I bought a hat because I tried to last time but didn't have my debit card. We got to squab the deck! You know the mopping that people do in the movies on pirate ships? Well we got to do that on the USS Missouri! Except we used a pump and a bucket instead of mops. Pretty fun though.
In htech we met with President and Sister Walker about standards and some other h tech concerns stuff. We filmed a video using rice
it makes no sense now but just wait till it's done and you'll enjoy it. The mission wanted us to make an infomercial style video for the mission about filling out forms
let's just say even though it turned out good, I MUCH prefer to make the fun and meaningful videos in the future.

It's a red zone for missionaries to go to unless there's a member with us. It was really fun though and the view from the new apartment was beautiful! Picture down below.
This week I've been reading the section of the Book of Mormon about when Jesus Christ visits the people on the American continent shortly after his resurrection. There's a part where he finishes speaking to the people and is about to ascend into heaven when he feels the love from everyone surrounding him and he stops and says that he has compassion on them.
He then says..."Have ye any that are sick among you? Bring them hither....
For I perceive that ye desire that I should show unto you what I have done unto your brethren at Jerusalem, for I see that your faith is sufficient that I should heal you."
- 3 Nephi 17:7-8
This part really reminded me that higher beings like our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ understand and feel our faith and love towards them. The same way they feel our pains, happiness, stress, anger, all of it! If we look towards them with love and determination to follow their counsel, they will have compassion and work miracles toward us according to our faith.
Just remember that all things are in the Lords timing and miracles may be small, but they happen anyway.
Hope you all had a great week! I love you all!
Love, Elder Nielsen
